Yes we did, and now we shall see if the Tytler was correct when he said:
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. "

Yes buy an overpriced home in a flood zone just so you can be closer to shopping. Makes sense to me! We're not living in the trenches out here waiting for construction.

One last one:
I don't know who Tytler is, but I do believe he never understood the causes/cure for the Derpressions of 1929-41 and 2008-????

We all have different priorities. Could you tell us why you think that a large number of relatively well educated and successful families(Mt. Pleasant population 65,000 people) do not mind paying a premium for a home with easy access to the beach, downtown Charleston, shopping, some of the best schools in the tri-county area and relatively low crime rate rather than purchasing a less expensive home further out with less convenience.

sc - I've heard sams is coming that way too, keep your fingers crossed! The construction on that shopping center @ carnes crossroads (harris teeter) will begin as early as this spring. Once they begin, it wont take too long. The proposed plans are beautiful...

Can't make excuses for someone breaking the law by saying that they were born into poverty or didn't go to a good school.
I say again if you were born in poverty it is not your fault, if you choose to stay there that is your bad choice.
