Makos are found way offshore in deep water. The Cobia was caught in the Broad river.

O-Yeah,,,,,They have a shooting just about every night downtown. They have about 3 killings a week in the hart of the city........Ha-Ha-Ha,,,,just kidding.
Don't worry about about crime rates,,worry about the way people drive around here! Its sick!
Its no more than any other city. Some areas are bad, but most of it is OK.

You can find demographic information on the web regarding crime, schools and such. I would direct you, but I've forgotten now exactly where I found it, but rest assured if I can find it anyone can
I can tell you that I currently live near Chicago, where on any visit to the city I pay very carefull attention to anyone who is around me. While in Charleston I found that no one is looking over thier shoulder, or checking doorways as they pass, even quite late at night. The more I walked around (was alone also) the more comfortable I became. Just my experience.

Silver as someone who has also had to walk around looking over there shoulder and into dark crevasses and around every corner I can say that most of Charleston will lull you into a relaxing, so becareful when you go back to Chitown......
