Hi - had a friend who's daughter moved to Summerville a few years ago. The daughter is no longer there but my friend said it was lovely and could live there (from Atlanta area). My hubby and I are planning a visit there sometime later this year and was wondering if there are good real estate buys - foreclosures in good areas that could be purchased inexpensively ($125K or less) any new home subdivisions that are having fantastic deals? Our area is flooded with homes and homes have depreciated about 20% here. I don't mind moving and selling for less as long as I can pick up something elsewhere for the same. Any info on areas, taxes (senior citizen exemption) etc. would be appreciated. Also, if we did buy something now would it be easy to rent out til we moved there?
I will tell you that you can do a search on this site for forums about Summerville and have plenty to read. I would start there and then what ever questions you might come up with after, being specific about the area, you can throw out to everyone here.
