I'll be relocating for my job in late spring and would like to get back into boating. I've look at several of the marina's in the Charlestion/Mt Pleasant area to determine storage/dry/wet dock fees. Other than paying the $250-$350 a month at one of the larger marina's what options are there? I really don't want to trailer a boat every time I want to go out. Other than paying the fees or buying a house on the water any suggestions? Are there less expensive marina's outside of the metro area?

There are many marinas and storage facilities in teh area. It has been discussed here previously, so there is a thread listing multiple options. You can find most information just searching online. Personally, I wouldn't want to pay to keep a boat in the water, and I'd want to get it out of the salt and scrubbed down after every use... but we're all different I suppose.

Alot depends on just how big of a boat are you talking about, under 25' it isn't work parking it at a marina other than for convience.

Resurecting an old thread....
Anyone know the going rate for dry dock storage in MP for about a 25-30 ft deck boat?
