Publix is a great place for basics

BiLo has the best meats IMHO ... I'm a big meat cook/grill'er...

PigglyWiggly's usually have a good flower shop and great fresh produce

Food Lion should be renamed Lion Food because they do a lot of that on it... they've been on 60mins and the likes over their contamination of meats etc...

Harris Teeter is way overpriced

Doschers a good ole local place

Costco's I don't buy anything but their chocolate death cakes, and an occasional electrical appliance

Walmart has one of the best bakery's IMO

Costco has the best pies at the absolute cheapest prices. It is ridiculous. And the meat is good. Everything else is give or take but when it comes to those two things they rock.

I like Whole Foods better but have to give Earth Fare credit for having a good cheese selection and meats/fish for a store its size. You need a mortgage to eat of the food bar, though. I never leave that line for less than 10-12$ and am always wondering if they tucked lead into a chicken bone or something.

I like Publix in general and specifically the bread and deli counters. HT always carries a few things I have problems finiding elsewhere but it is not my default.

Is there another reason to shop? Oh yeah, steaks! That would be Bi-Lo.
Mr.K's is running a steak sale, whole ribeye 4.99/lb....

They cut it for you to your specs too....

Got me hungry for a 1.5" ribeye now...

You can't beat Costco's pumpkin pie -- $5.99 -- you can't make it for cheaper and it is so good.

The rotisserie chicken for 4.99 is so handy to have around the house for sandwiches, adding some protein to an easy pasta dish.....

I'm off to Costco for my bi-weekly visit tomorrow.

Is that 1.5 inches or pounds? Either way... I'm good.
