Default Summer Day Camps / Hilton Head or area
Sorry to re-post this again, but I don't think I used the correct heading last time...
We have never been to Hilton Head and have been wanting to go with the family for a vacation. We have the opportunity to spend 2 months there during this coming summer (2009.) Is there enough to do to spend that much time there with two school-aged children? Are there day camps in the area? Even within 15 mins. drive? Is Hilton Head within close driving distance of shopping and entertainment? Sorry for the naivete, just have never been there. Thanks in advance!

Hilton Head is a nice area. I don't know what they have as far as day camps, but I'm sure there is something. The area is a resort focused on the beach, golf, and tennis etc. I'm sure that someone has figured out that they need a way to entertain kids while the adults play. Hilton Head has some pretty good restaurants and a lot of outlet shopping etc.

Bluffton is located just outside of Hilton Head and there is plenty of shopping available there with a Target, Walmart and the Tanger Outlets. I would check with some of the hotels and resorts on the island to see if they have any kind of programs for kids during the summer. Also check with the YMCA in Bluffton.
