Default Paramedic Looking for a job

OK, So I have the area that I want to move my family into down. No I just need to look for a Job.

I'm a paramedic with 20 years of total EMS experience and 10 years of ALS. I work in a very busy suburban system. I have my ACLS, PALS, BCLS. I also have attended EMRTC Terrorist Bombing class in New Mexico. Oh and I also teach. I'm looking into the 3rd service county systems. Could someone tel me the best county systems to apply for on the coastal area, and also what the protocols are like.Thanks.

Boston- I saw a job posting Tues or Wed of this week for an open EMT Supervisor position that was paying pretty good money. If I find it again I will DM it to you.

As far as your other questions, I'm not sure but I have buddies that are cops so I can ask them they may have more info. Good luck!

This is the only thing I could find right now....looks to be pretty much entry level, which you are way past... wouldn't hurt to give HR a call though to see if something requiring more experience may be opening up soon.

Charleston County should be your first pick IMHO, they usually pay more than the surrounding areas and have decent insurance for now... I've got several good friends that work for them... I'm also good friends with the man that runs the Heritage EMS service on Ladson Rd, I have his Harley in my shop now... but I don't know what they pay... go to charlestoncounty.org and keep an eye on the employment link list

or just go visit the PSB building on Bridge View and ask to speak to Mr.Lundy... hit him up with your resume, he runs EMS and they are short quite a few

the county does have a general hiring freeze right now but he might be able to slip u in if he can get around that freeze somehow

If you do contact Charleston County EMS, direct your questions toward Capt. Todd McGeorge. He's the training director and in charge of pre employment testing. CCEMS is the highest paid 911 service in the area. You would be working either 12 or 24 hr shifts. The 24's are 1 on and 2 off. As stated previously though, there may be a hiring freeze.
