Well, we've finally found a lot we're seriously interested in, but after looking at the plat, there are some live oaks in the middle that make it difficult, if not impossible, to build on. Esp, when the lot sizes are so very small compared to what we are used to. (maybe it's why the lot is "reasonably priced"?)
I'm a tree-hugger myself and having a hard time finding affordable lots with just one of those beautiful trees on them. I am all for protection of them. I, personally, get turned off by .29 acres full of stick pines listed as "wooded" for exorbitant prices. I live for big oak shade trees.
I'd really feel bad having to take them out myself, but there are three others on the property that are located on the sides of the lot.
Is there anyway you can get a (what is the word I'm looking for.. compliance? variance?) to take them out? And who would you attempt to get it from? the HOA, the County?
