Default Beach Home Rentals?

Hi, I'm trying to plan a long weekend getaway for my family and about 3 other couples -- somebody mentioned that the Charleston area has good beaches and houses available for rent. Can anybody recommend a good beach/island to visit? Thanks!

SCDweller is on a distinguished road
Isle of Palms is my favorite. Great beach, lots of houses to rent and a quick drive to the Mount Pleasant Town Center, or into the city.

Folly Beach is my favorite local beach and Fred Holland Realty handles the majority of beach house rentals down there. His office is located on Center St. in the town of Folly Beach.

Does he have a website? We'll be driving in from the Atlanta area. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. Any activities there besides the beach? We are all in our mid 30's.

Welcome to Fred P. Holland Realty - Folly Beach, South Carolina

Folly Beach is located just past James Island...the small town there has at least 4 or 5 beach bars/clubs and at least as many restaurants and beach/surf/gift shops. There is always live music on the weekends. You can go out on the pier to sit, walk, or fish and swim, surf, sun bathe, etc. anywhere on the beach. If you turn left in town and drive till you get to the dead end, then park and walk down the beach a ways, you will see the Morris Island lighthouse. There are also jet ski rentals to the right of the Holiday Inn....or you can go down to the County Park where there are lifeguards, beach rentals, concession stands, and showers. Folly Beach is a laid back, quaint beach town - a place to get away from it all, but you are only 15 minutes to historic downtown Charleston or 20 minutes from the mall and other shopping in West Ashley. There is also a movie theater just 10 minutes up Folly Rd. - something to do if it rains....
