Default Spring Break Options

A few friends at work were discussing plans for this week since the schools in the area are on spring break.

I just wanted to get a feel from some here on what they are planning to do this week with the kids...or without the kids!!!!

Many are cutting down on travel expense so looking at local activities has become quite attractive.

Some options are: the zoo in Columbia, Bee City in Cottageville, Frankie's Fun Park on Ashley Phosphate Rd., the Aquarium, Ready-Set-Jump, movies, bowling, Cypress Gardens, Charlestowne Landing, any of the local parks (where there are playgrounds, kayaking, hiking and biking trails, volleyball courts, etc.), play tennis, go to the beach & fly kites, etc...... There is SO MUCH to do with/without kids in this area...when my grandson comes up to stay with me from FL, we do something different every day!

Well from my experience today - half the families in the Charleston area were at the aquarium. There were lnes up to get in even at 2:30 pm when we were leaving.

Tomorrow will be a good day for an indoor activity. BRRRRR.

The DW and I just got back from our Spring break trip, we call it our Wineries and Waterfalls tour 2009. We took four days and went through the upstate of SC, Eastern NC and Nothern GA visiting four wineries and six waterfalls. It didn't feel like Spring on Monday and Tuesday as we experienced four inches of snow....
