There is?? Now that's news to me...I've never met someone from Russia here. Are there many Russian immigrants in Mt. Pleasant?

HUGE Pats (and NFL) fan here but I believe keeping it on the down low outside of NE...I will definitely be looking for a Pats friendly bar during the season though...I live in NH but I'm from Mass.
I've been living in a "Mass hater" environment for the past ten years...This is because I live in a lake/ski tourist community (NH) and the locals hate the mass- holes primarily and then the NY'ers...it gets old.
I see that there is a bit of that with transplants in general, but is there a special dislike toward people from Massachusetts?

I'm from MA originally and I think you will fit in just fine. No worries.

I have met a lot of Patriot fans at a place called the Charleston Beerworks on King Street....it's a good sports bar, lots of TVs, and most importantly, lots of good beer choices ...don't act like a typical rude Northeasterner, and you'll be ok...in the south, we don't live nearly as hectic and fast paced lives, we prefer good manners (I lived for 1 month in NYC and couldn't believe the rudeness and lack of manners and the fast paced life there). Lastly, and most importantly, DON'T COMPLAIN about what is not here that you had up there....that really infuriates me, I knew when I moved to SC from OH, certain things that I liked may not be here, but I didn't complain about it, I found things to replace it...

I would say the Steelers have the death grip on the local favorite here, even more so than Carolina fans...Every bar I goto, see tons of supporters from all teams. In no particular order, i've seen large support groups for:
a) Cleveland Browns
b) Steelers
c) Eagles
d) Miami
e) NY Giants
f) Pats
Guess the Panther fans stay in the comfort of their own home, especially since every game for them is televised...

I like the Steelers and the grit of their fans...met some great ones @ Gillette...the only teams I really love to hate are the Colts and the Bolts...thanks for the heads up on the sports bar
"don't act like a typical rude Northeasterner"...(That's a rude thing to say, lol)...actually, I've had manners my entire life as do my children...fancy that.

Just my experience of dealing w/ a lot of people from NYC, NJ and Boston...not all of them, but to me it seems like a higher percentage of them.

I don't about NY/NJ but being in the North End of Boston and being in Cambridge...well you might as well be in two different countries...yet travel out of the state and we're "all the same", lol. It may disturb you to know if you take a peek on the European boards- we are (Americans) all the same- obnoxious, rude, greedy, uptight and stupid.
But I'm not oblivious to what you are saying, thanks for the advice.
