Centex Corp., one of the Charleston region’s biggest residential developers, is being sold to the parent of the Del Webb senior community in Berkeley County.
Pulte Homes Inc. and Centex have agreed to a stock-for-stock deal valued at $1.3 billion that will create the nation’s largest home builder, it was announced Wednesday.
