Default Visiting Charleston

I recently moved to the Columbia area and haven't visited the coast yet. My parents are coming down to visit in a couple of weeks and I thought it would be a great time to check out Charleston. I really dont know much about the city and I would like some imput as what to visit/see while in town. I know there is a lot to do and see in the city but what would you recommend doing/seeing in Charleston. Any great seafood resturants, events, fishing, sight seeing, ect. How about riverboat tours of the harbor?
My dad is on limited mobility due to a recovering broken ankle but he does have an walking cast. Walking is fine but nothing major like hiking.
How is the tour of Fort Sumter?
The World Grits Fair is the same weekend, is that pretty interesting? Any help would be appricated.

thanks.

The Grits Fest is pretty neat...

If you are going downtown Charleston take a carriage tour, good for limited mobility.
