Default Private christian schools in Mt. Pleasant

I can't begin to explain how much I appreciate the info on city data. In looking for a place to live in SC I have read and learned more than I could have imagined. We still are in the exploring stages and in doing so I have been looking for schools. As I posted before we are looking at Bluffton, Greenville and now I've extended the search to Mt. Pleasant. In doing so schools have been an issue and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about Palmetto Christian Academy. I looked at the posts about private schools and I couldn't find much about it. I'm hoping the middle and upper school is well attended as I don't want to have to look for other schools when my kids reach those grades because there is only 5 kids in each class. My oldest is in 5th grade so I do understand that there is time for the school to grow if it is fairly new. I went to the website and couldn't find how many students were in each grade. It does sound like what we are looking for otherwise!

Thanks for any input!

Just noticed no one has replied yet.... that is a school I'm seriously considering. I didn't reply to your post, because I don't have the specific info you're asking for. I know several people that go there and love it! My understanding is the academics are better than public school, smaller class sizes, and less tolerance for bad behavior. My daughter is also currently a 5th grader... there is a 'bully' in her class that hits, slaps, is disruptive, and all that happens is she gets sent to the principal for a chat. In our school in Indiana, also a public school, a student would be suspended or expelled for their first hit. I work in a medical office and see many PCA kids.... they are always the most well-behaved, polite, can have a conversation with an adult. I've just been very impressed with kids there, and have HEARD that the teachers/staff are great too. Good luck!

I haven't heard much about them, my children have been in a private Christian school for nearly 4 yrs now and play sports... Northwood Academy... and I can't remember competing against them like we do with most public and private schools... but here's a cpl sites that have a little info on them

Palmetto Christian School is great and also First Baptist church has a school in old village. my wife and I would have put our daughter in PCA if we decided to move back home to MP but the cost of homes were too high
