Default Details on installing additional water meter

I am wanting to get another water meter installed at my house for my sprinkler system. Does anyone know how I go about getting one installed? Who I need to call? Do you know anyone who can install it?

Thank you

Who is your water provider? Have you called them?

if you are a senior, there may be non profit organizations in your area that will do the labor for you. Normally you need to pay the impact and installation fees, the city will install the meter, you have to install a backflow device and handle the plumbing from the residential side of the meter.

In Mt. Pleasant, we were told that the meter costs is $550, the water itself costs $1 more per unit (???) than house water & we would probably save $8 a month. Not worth it to us. We called the city offices for the info. Good luck.

You could go green!! Put in a tank and use the runoff from the house. No need to pay the city for another meter and all that goes with it.
