Kitchen countertops?
Looking for a recommended place to buy a kitchen countertop - soapstone specifically. Any good local places, or if there aren't any - any good places elsewhere? If you know of any good prices per sqft, please post!
Thanks all

I redid two kitchens before moving here and used Silestone (quartz) in one and Corian in the other. I cna't help you with the soapstone but WSC FM 94.3 has some show during Saturday in the early afternoons featuring different businesses in the Charleston area that offer services to homeowners. I've heard them interview several kitchen and countertop places that sound like they would give good deals. I think the show is called "Talking about a home" and they have a website by that name. At the website, they link to every guest they've ever had on the show. So at least, you might get some info to serve as a starting place and maybe get pointed in the right direction (if you don't strike gold on the off chance).

Hi Starry Eyed Surprise - I was just wondering if you found a place that can get soapstone countertops for you or do you have to go to Charlotte or Atlanta to get them?

Hey emily - sorry for the lack of a reply yet, about to leave to go to a destination wedding in Cancun haha. I believe my husband emailed Creative, but didn't hear back from them yet. I didn't see the list you mentioned on the radio's webpage - but again I've ben kinda distracted.
I did contact a nationwide company, and they recommended a distributer in Charlotte (sigh). I doubt they're open today, but I may give them a call, since we are flying out of Charlotte anyway. So, thanks for reminding me LOL.

No. I wasn't expecting a reply except was just curious if you found any anywhere. The radio show is not a panacea. It's just an ongoing commercial or infomercial for an hour or so on Saturday of local contractrs selling their services. I was just wondering if you found much or will have to end up going out of the area.
It seems that in some ways, Charleston has a lot for a city it's size but in other ways it is sorely lacking and being hours from more major metro areas where they have what you are looking for it can be REALLY cumbersome getting a home improvement project done if you can't find everything you are looking for here in Charleston.
Have a great trip to Mexico. I loved both Cozumel in the 70s and Cancun and Quintana Roo in the 90's when my parents took us.
