Default The Peninsula Subdivision-Cainhoy/Wando

Has anyone heard anthing good/bad about the Peninsula subdivision off Clements Ferry Road? We are looking to buy a TH there. Currently we do not have children, but we do have a dog. I know that the schools are decent in that area.
Just wondering about the neighborhood itself and the structure of the home.
Thanks in advance

You Realtor should be able to provide you with the pro's and con's of The Peninsula. You did mention that the "schools are descent in the area." I know that the reputation and quality of a school is often dependent upon different criteria. One objective measure of the academic quality of the school is the South Carolina State Report Card scores. You would want to confirm current school boundaries for The Peninsula. I believe that the community is zoned for Cainhoy Elementary and Middle Schools, which received low 2008 "absolute" scores. If the quality of the schools zoned for The Peninsula are important to you, you certainly want to take them into consideration when deciding where to live.

The builder was DR Horton so you may want to also research the builder. I have sold a few homes in the area. I would look into schools if children are in your future, but by the time you have them the schools may be totally different and you will more than likely not be living in the townhouse.

Good Luck!
