Default West Ashley and Charleston Int'l. / AFB Flight Path

Is the West Ashley area "outside Mark Clark" / Shadow Moss Club affected by aircraft noise (takeoff / landing) from the airport across the Ashley River? Thank you.

Well, the West Ashley area is slightly affected by the aircraft noise of the airport, but the airport is a few miles away, so areas around North Charleston get it worse.

For the most part the planes seem to drop down over the Ashley River these days. I typically have found you see them more than hearing them in that area of West Ashley. But some of the larger planes (c17) that come in low seem to be the majority of the noise. The others seem to do a good job of darting in and out without as much notice.
