Default Need advice... Charleston on Business

I will be staying in the historic district this week. I will arrive at the hotel at around 4 Tuesday, and my flight doesnt leave until Wed at 5pm.

I'd like to ask for some advice how to spend that free time. I'm already thinking of hitting the beach early Wed morning.

What would be a good beach to go to? It doesnt look like there are any in walking distance.

I'm looking for some good southern food the entire time I am here. Nothing fancy, just some good southern home cooking. Are there any gems around the historic district... especially have my eye on dessert.

Anyone heard anything about that Vendue Inn Rooftop bar?

I'd like to hit as much sight seeing as I can Wednesday before the flight... any advice?

Thanks in advance

The Library rooftop bar above Vendue Inn is certainly a nice spot to spend the evening.

Jestine's Kitchen is downtown, and certainly a great spot for good southern food. Try the coca-cola cake.
