No, not really...
as I have learned (the hard way ) often times the way something
is taken on a message board is NOT the way it was intended.
Now, if OTC comes on and says YES I am better, then ok....

the flip side of that is that there are on those here are basing his demise on THIS offense. Chances are that this isn't his first or only offense, it was simply he crossed the wrong person So, the way I see it, neither side can judge other than to see unless we get to the root of the problem then it will continue. Recidivism at it's best.

A young man is dead and a family will never be the same. End of story. Who won?

He was a two bit theif and drug user, who brought a gun to a drug deal and tried to rip off a drug dealer. Bringing a gun to a drug deal shows intent to murder......

1) While I enjoy all of the debate in this thread, I'm just waiting for the Moderator to administer a warning to stop arguing!
2) Most people don't ever want to hear of a child dying and anyone who is a parent certainly cringes at the thought of someone else losing a son/daughter. But I believe parents(and I am a parent) have this reaction because they personalize the news story and pray to God that they never find themselves in the postion of having to bury their child. And I certainly don't ever wish that situation on anyone.
3) What I find interesting about the "rehab/let's never forget we were teenagers too once" theme is this....For all the posters who want to give the victim CONSIDERATION, how much did the victim CONSIDER you, your neighbors, the people who lived in that area where this shooting occurred??
Did any of the individuals involved in this CRIME consider anyone other than themselves when they decided to enter an apparently peaceful suburban neighborhood where I'm sure people of all ages live including elderly and children?? Were any of the individuals involved WORRIED about harming(even accidentally) any of those innocent people who lived in that neighborhood??
If the answer to that question is an obvious "No", then I don't see where I should have to consider the victim or anyone else who was involved in this incident?? Don't I have an obligation to care for/protect me and my family first and foremost? And I believe I have an obligation to carry out that responsibility in a manner where I dont' endanger or harm someone else or someone else's family member. Generally, I think you get what you give in this life!
