Default Am I nuts for Considering Moncks Corner but work is in West Ashley?

We've been interweb house hunting and a few houses in Moncks Corner are really appealing. What's the commute like to West Ashley? Would it make a differenece if the commute would be during slightly off peak hours and if I had a high horsepower vehicle?

Thanks,

Adam

Well obviously it'd be shorter if you're looking at the speed limit signs as more "suggestions" rather than rules. You'd be traveling WITH most traffic honestly, heading towards Charleston and usually through West Ashley. It would really depend on which parts of Monck's Corner you're looking at starting from.

It also depends on the hours of your travel.....

I go through the Ashley Phosphate/I-26 mess every morning, it isn't too bad if you hit it right..

I would say yes, it could be a pain. I have to be to work at 8am and always around 7:30 they say on the radio the travel time from exit 199 Summerville to downtown and sometimes it's an hour. Granted, you are probably not going that far, but you'd be stuck in the majority of it.
