"Taste of Charleston" at Boone Hall Oct 12
We're thinking of going to this on our Fall trip. Have you been and would you recommend it? Thanks for any info.

Good food, good music....downside - long lines of traffic and it can get quite expensive. I help work the gates sometimes selling tickets (our principal volunteers us!), which is the only reason I ever go since I dislike big crowds and lines.

The reason's you mentioned is why we haven't gone in years. It used to be a lot of fun when it first started.

well worth the traffic. great way to sample food from many restaurants. last year, there was plenty of room inside boone plantation. but, maybe the rain scared away people.

My wife had great success at the Oyster Festival riding her bike instead of driving. If you have a chance to park off site and do that, it seems to work out well.
Of course, the unknown being the weather... even with a mountian bike, I don't really want to negotiate the muddy dirt roads of Boone Hall.

The Taste of Charlotte up here is pretty big, but I bet the Taste of Charleston w/ the restaraunt quality down there is much better...I hope to be able to make it this year.
