My wife and i live in Hatfield which is next to Lansdale and we are moving to The Charlotte area in a month or two after we sign the papers in a week. We are thinking about SC. We are moving for the same reasons. Where are you moving from?

Wow, you are moving from Downingtown? We live in Sadsburyville which is just below Coatesville. We just got back from a trip to Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Lake Wylie, SC area and loved it. We are working on fixing up the house to sell and hope to move soon before school starts up again. My son will start high school and even he is looking forward to it. Especially coming home and having the Nor'easter hit with snow! Let me know how you are progressing. Thanks, Gayle

Such a small world. My husband got a job offer and we actually were thinking we would not take it but should just check out the area just in case. We loved it so much we decided it was now or never. I am so excited about our new house and neighborhood in Fort Mill. Our house in PA was only on the market 10 days so I wish you the same luck. My mom is an agent here in PA and has been on three listing appointments this week so things are certainly picking up here.

I will tell you I grew up having Steelers shoved down my throat, my father and his family immigrated here from Czechoslavakia and they ended up in Johnston, where he would watch them practice! So he is a lifer as far as the Steelers go. ME I am Patriots all the way baby!! I am a huge football fan, our som plays pop warner and I wish it lasted all year.
To MOMIX5:
I am sure that not all of PA is as bad as where I am. One area that I love is State College. If I were staying here I would move up there. I just feel that I run into too much negativity and our city is stuck in small town ways but getting big town problems. Our downtown is such a hole and they never do anything to improve it. Alot of promises though.

Default Hello all Pennsylvanians!!!

I was born and raised in Downingtown, married and moved to Cochranville, divorced and moved to Coatesville, remarried and bought our first home in Pomeroy, and in 1988 built our dream house in Coatesville/Sadsburyville area. Husband, daughter, and I moved down here to McCormick, SC in 2002. Daughter has since moved back to PA (Lansdowne) because wages were too low. But she would love to move back someday. She loves it as much as we do. The weather is awesome, the lifestyle so laid back, and the people are fantastic. So welcome y'all !

knitwit, i think many of us Southerners moved up North for the wages and jobs but wished we could have stayed home.

I dont personally think all of the North is bad any more than all things in the south are good. I love the countryside in the Northeast--the Adirondacks, the Hudson Valley NY, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, The cape and islands, Newport, Mystic and Block Island are all great places. Some very rural areas and urban centers in the South you couldnt pay me to live in due to the bigotry and violent crime in them.

there are good people and bad people on both sides of the Mason Dixon, we should try and conform to the good and leave the bad where they stand.
