Carolina-

I wasn't putting down the north, that was my home for my whole life, my children and granddaughter are still there. We just wanted a change and had visited down here on vacations and thought we'd like to give it a try and it is wonderful, for us. The only down to it is that I miss our daughters very much, but they come down on their vacations.

I was class of 90 but I am sure I probably know some of the people you went to school with. I can't belive how much of my class of over 600 stayed in the area. Such a small world.

Wow, I probably went to school with your parents!! My daughters graduated from CASH, one in 85', 87', 92', and 93'. Downingtown has changed so much since I lived there. One of my daughters works at Downingtown National Bank First. Have you lived there all your life?

We moved to Downingtown from Atlanta when I was 7 years old. Looks like your kids and me and my siblings are all the same ages. We graduated in 84,90, 94. We are so far into this thread I forget where in SC you live or are looking to relocate to.

Oh so, you were from the south and moved north and are now moving back? Cool. We are in McCormick, SC, right across the Savannah River from GA (Lake Thurmond, or originally Clarks Hill).

Hi sixinthefamily,
Actually no -- my x fiance did (that's why I ended up here) but we won't go there. I've live in the area for 10 years, but spent most of my life in Fort Lauderdale area. My son and I are trying to find a happy medium.

The kids are surprisingly very excited, even my 15 year old!! yeah!!
Well, get ready for a culture shock. Things a bit slower than Williamsport. I live near Charleston and crime is just as bad in Williamsport. I don't want to discourage you. Just do your homework before you settle.
