Who has the best body shop for car repairs in Charleston? Please give me your opinions. I have a BMW and want someone really good.

Thanks!

Charlestowne Paint and Body on cross county road

I've used them, and sent others there, for nearly 20 yrs... for everything from custom Harley paint jobs to wrecked cars, excellent work

they aren't the cheapest in town but are good, guy named Jimmy owns it

I wouldn't bother with a certain shop on Daniel Island... without saying their name I've seen some very shoddy work from them, including some work I had to take back to them to redo several times and ended up taking it somewhere else even after that...

Norton and Richardson in Summerville. Kind of pricey but you won't know your car was ever damaged

BUMP

I'm looking for a body shop to do an insurance repair on our Volvo. The car isn't new, but we still care about how it looks. In other words, we just want it to look like it did before someone backed into it with matching paint and OEM side molding (included in the estimate).

Are either of the above still the place to go? I'm hoping to find a good place and stick with it because the Toyota and Mercedes could also use a little touch up.

We had some body work done at a place on Stuart Engalls (I526 and Rte 17) in MTP. I forget the name of the place but they did good, prompt work.

I'm with TC...Norton & Richardson on Rt78 in Summerville.

DH has been in the car business here for over 20 years and wouldn't use anyone else. Last month I got rear-ended, resulting in about 1K damage on the right rear quarter. Within a week the car (a 2008 Honda CRV) was fixed as good as new.

Sweet, sounds like it's worth the trip. Now to figure out how to get home from the body shop, and then get back over there...
