We will be moving to the Mt Pleasant area soon. I am a serious skeet shooter. Where are the better skeet clubs in the area? Thanks

There are not any better skeet clubs, you may find one or two around...

One is a ways up off o Hwy 41 past Jamestown. I will look it up for you later or you can PM me and I will send you some info...

Moved to Mt. P a few yrs ago myself and ran into the same problem. There's a range in N. Charleston on the Navy or AFB, but you need to be a member of service. The only other public one I could find anywhere close was up in Ridgeville which was about 50 min's away. It looks/sounds like a very nice public range and has sporting clay and trap as well. Kinda far though to shoot a couple of rounds.

There is a free Public range for rifles pistols and shotguns at twin ponds in the Francis Marion Forest, but they do not allow skeet shooting.

I know, they don't make that much ammo for them and when they get it in, it is usually at a premium. But I love the gun it used to be my grandfathers, and I can shoot it all day and not get sore, unlike my mossburg which beets me up...
