Sertoma is coming up in two weeks at Johnson Hagood Stadium, and it is a huge event for the local high school teams. It is the 39th annual event, and usually draws over 10,000 people to the stadium both nights.
Here are the matchups for the two nights:
Thurs. Aug. 20
First Baptist vs. Garrett
Lincoln vs. Northwood Academy
Academic Magnet vs. Cross
Military Magnet vs. Goose Creek
Baptist Hill vs. Timberland
Stratford vs. North Charleston
Bishop England vs. Wando
Fri. Aug. 21
Pinewood Prep vs. Burke
Stall vs. Porter Gaud
Berkeley vs. Woodland
Fort Dorchester vs. Colleton County
St. John's vs. James Island
Scott's Branch vs. Summerville
West Ashley vs. Cane Bay
Does anybody have any memories of Sertoma, or will participate in it?

I agree with OTC on all except WA vs CB. I think West Ashley will win.
I have lots of memories of Sertoma as a involved student and involved parent. Now I get to read the scores in the paper the next day. lol

By the way, if you have a kid under 6, tickets are free for them if you want to go.

This year's Sertoma was great, as twenty-eight teams participated in two nights of action.
The Sertoma Football Classic had a great year this year, with two big nights of football, and many great games. You would have never seen Scott's Branch and Summerville match up normally, and the West Ashley-Cane Bay game was a great exhibition.
James Island also played a great game, with the biggest margin. At least 18,000 fans came to the two nights of football, with 11,000 coming on Friday night.
James Island won the Alwyn Berlin Spirit Award, ending Stratford's six year reign as the champion of the award.
Did anyone go here the last two nights?
