Hi all...i went 5 pages deep and didn't find what i'm looking for...so sorry if this is redundant....BUT here's the net/net...

I want a change!!

*LOVE the beach/surf (tired of paying $1700 for my 1bdrm)
*want affordable beach-ish real estate (to buy in the next year/rent first),
*pharmaceutical sales rep (r there a lot of unemployed pharma reps out there? how r the territories? wide open or dense?)
*walking neighborhoods r the best! (i.e. walk to market, coffee, sat morning yoga, etc.)
*casual laid back beach scene is my fave but i have san francisco/city/artsy/foodie tendencies...
*i'm a single, 31 yr, female...nice, cute guys would b nice

Sooo...given the above...should I keep charleston on my list of possibilities?? If so, what are some neighborhoods I should be looking at?

Thanks in advance 4 ur help!!!

The Charleston area is wonderful !

I don't know about your career field and job opportunities there but you could research that.

The cost of living from what you described above is somewhat cheaper. Charleston is a beautiful charming city with a tremendous history with many different cultures. But, the one thing I would say to you is that this is the South and it is different (in a good way of course !), things are different here and it is much slower paced. Plan a visit there and check it out, that is the best way to get the feel of the area.

Good luck, where ever you land.

Capt. Rick's pretty much nailed it. Your description shouts "Folly Beach". The only caveat would be the purchase price, the closer to the beach, the more expensive the property, obviously.
