Do they have an over 55 section. It looks nice there, but if you are retired can you fit in? TX

Hello,
There is a Del Webb community for 55 plus at Cane Bay Plantation- this is in Summerville though. From the website it's supposed to awesome with the amenity center etc. It's a gated area with gorgeous landscaping.

A daily breakfast buffet and choice of lunch or dinner is included in your monthly fee.All utilities included as well as well as scheduled transportation to area shopping and local medical appointments. Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities and services are available.

DI has a many groups you could join, depending on your interests. Lots of people get together for dinners, boat tours, bike rides, etc., and if there is an activity you enjoy that they don't have a group for, you could always start one!

There isn't a special section of the island for 55+, since the island design encourages a more traditional, integrated community. But you'll fit right in, and should easily be able to find people who share your interests...
