im an african american from CT and i noticed that people down south treat Northerners a certain way my father owned an electrical contracting company around 4 years ago and what baffles me is the way Black charlestonians treat black Northerners who dont have the Geeche accent or southern overtones. it became so bad sometimes my father would have to fake the gullah accent to get along with them. the only people that are nice to him are other Northerners who move down here. we would meet nice people from NJ,NY,PA and they would always spark up good conversations. dont get wrong i dont hate charlestonians but why does this have to happen ive been to TX,VA,NC at got along fine with the people there why is it different here
