So, after being down here for quite some time, I actually got an unexpected call back from a company I interviewed with back in May, with a job offer - yay! Of course it comes while I am moving into my new home, have a month-long visit from my in-laws, who are here to help us with our kitchen renovation (oh yeah, no kitchen right now - still looks better than the wallpaper and old cabinets though haha)... I've gotten a few DM's from people with suggestions on companies, etc, so thanks guys

Second bit of news - found out I was pregnant (another yay, but LOL at the timing), and since I'd like to keep working, I need some advice on daycare in Summerville. I live off of Dorchester, just west of Old Trolley, and will probably take 526 for commuting - so if the daycare is not in the opposite direction of where I have to go, that's for the best, but I'll suck it up and go out of the way if there's a really good daycare. I know that daycares used to have a waiting list back where I came from, so I'd like to get this research done ASAP!

Any ideas?

I am happy with the la petite academy on Trolley rd. They can be on the pricey side but depending on your income you may qualify for Abc vouchers from DSS. With the vouchers it runs around $35 a week. From Dorchester it is on the left before Midland.

Thanks for the info johnny, though I'm sure with my income + the husband's we won't qualify. Is it a crowded school? I'll see if I can set up an appointment to observe - anyone know of any other schools that I should look at?

LaPetite used to be one of the better daycares around. I don't know how they are now?

We used Oakbrook Child Development Center, which costs around $85 a week. We were very happy with them but now the boy is in Kindergarden!!
