We do have a very large park with 2 baseball diamonds, a soccer field, playground, pond, and 7 tennis courts. Those of us who have lived here for years like Johns Island just the way it is. Outsiders should not be the ones to decide how it "should be". Yes, it needs better schools...we agree on that point. St. Johns High School is only a few years old and has some excellent teachers, however locals who can afford it, still prefer to send their children to private schools. Haut Gap Middle now houses a Math/Science Magnet School and has a brand new building....again, most locals still send their kids to private schools. People have the freedom of choice and I don't believe that more subdivisions are going to change that.
