Summerville areas to avoid?
I love my city of Columbus, GA, but there are places that young families shouldn't live in. What are these places in Summerville, SC?

Areas along the railroad tracks west of town.
Some areas in Sangaree.
Some areas around Lincolnville.

Miles Road (aka Miles Jamison) has some poorly maintained areas
Same goes for the vicinity of the Dorchester Rd & Bacon's Bridge Rd intersection.

Those areas are not so much dangerous as just not well kept.
Miles/Jameson rd falls in the Lincolnville and Ladson area.

Hmmm, I don't agree with the Dorchester & Bacons Bridge area being a place to avoid. I don't live too far from there and it might not be aesthetically pleasing in some parts, but I don't consider it a bad area. There are lots of areas around Charleston that could fit that description. It has seen improvements, they just built that nice State Farm building, Eileen's on the corner is an upscale restaurant and a Merle Norman cosmetics just opened up. I go in that CVS all the time. I think you will see a major improvement once they widen the roads and redo the intersection and hopefully something nice will go on that corner where the fruit stand is.

If that's considered to be a place to avoid in Summerville, then I need to search around for the puppies, rainbows and unicorns that undoubtedly inhabit the rest of the town lol. The stores might not be Panera Bread and Starbucks (ugh imagine the traffic if they were), but I wouldn't even think to call it seedy "avoid this."
