My wife and I will be moving to the Charleston area (Mt. Pleasant) around May 12. We would like to go to see the Tall Ships the following weekend. I looked at the website for this and see that the ships are moored at different locations.

This will be our first time in the downtown area of Charleston so have a few questions.

How far apart are these locations and can you walk from one to the other? Also what is between them (shops, restaurants, bars, etc). When we move I will try to get some maps and info at the SC. welcome center.

In years past, all of the ships have been docked in downtown Charleston at the Maritime Center and the Passenger Terminal. There is a shuttle that runs between the two. The Market area is nearby which has many bars and restaurants.
