Default homeschooling/Goose Creek

My husband is taking a job in Charelston SC. I am trying to decide Summerville vs Goose Creek for looking for a home for us. I currently homeschool. Trying to see if there are homeschool groups in the Goose Creek area. Also Crowfield Plantation I have seen alot of homes...any information regarding the subdivision would be homeful.

My wife homeeducated our four kids for over 12 years in the Summerville area. Lots of great resources and coops available for those choosing to home school! LCHEA was the organization my wife used. Here is a link that will help South Carolina Homeschool Support Groups and Resources
Let me know if you have any questions or would like to talk to my wife.

Join SCAIHS, if for nothing other than they continuously fight legal battles regarding home schooling.

I was trying to find the group you listed and I am coming to the same dead end that I always seem to come to when searching this subject. I am looking for non-religion based homeschool groups in the goose creek/moncks corner areas.
Thank you so much for your time and any information.

mamacass,

Welcome (almost) to the Charleston area!
We just moved here 6 weeks ago and had the same decision to make. We liked the sense of community in Summerville, the old downtown area, the local businesses, the community events and the overall feel of the town. Will you have a chance to visit before relocating?

Here are some groups that may help you get connected in the area. Go to Yahoo! Groups and search for the following:

Charleston HS Times
An inclusive and tolerant place for homeschoolers of Charleston County to meet, discuss issues, share ideas, information, and to get to know other homeschoolers of SC right in your own backyard (county). (It says Charleston County, but they may have connections for you.)

SCkidshomeschoolactivities
This group is just for Activities and Field Trips. This group is OPEN to ALL that Homeschool.

EndeavorHS
ENDEAVOR is a member-governed, inclusive community of homeschooling families in the greater Charleston area. We encourage and respectfully support a membership diverse in homeschool style, race, religion, life philosophy, political views, and family composition and situation.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions!

Take Care,
Leanne
