Thanks for pointing out the Bush was, in fact, a good President.
By using his actions to justify those of Obama you are, in effect, saying that he was a President worth emulating and not "the worst President ever"

the history of Charleston is different than alot of other cities in the south. there was racial integration in housing in Charleston going back to pre civil war days, just as there was a thriving Jewish population. my family has lived in Mt Pleasant for hundreds of years and we have lived in an integregated community, whites and blacks livign side by side.
nowif you go to columbia you will see the racial divide as well as in Atlanta, where you will find very solid Black Middle Class neighborhoods--like one i lived in as a kid called Riverview Terrace.
for the definition of middle class-educated, skilled professionals who own their homes and small businesses

I did not justify Obama's actions -- I think Obama's actions with regards to the budget are somewhat unjustified. What I was pointing out -- was that those who are blindly loyal -- didn't even know what deficit was until 2009. How can you elect a party that doesn't even know the meaning of a word until the other party is in power.
You are blindly loyal to your party -- I wish I could be. I just don't feel that any of them have our best interest at heart right now.

And the fact Republicans did not talk about deficit has nothing to do with Bush's performance of lack of -- it's in regards to the supporters of Republicans and critics of Democrats.
If Bush had done such a great job, the Republicans would still be in office.

My point was that Bush broke the record before Obama-- no Republican and/or conservative knew what deficit meant. They didn't care -- as I said -- both parties justify why it is okay to spend money they don't have.
I am not worried about the USA becoming a socialist country. Not at all. Any administration has four years to prove themselves. If in the next four years we see our liberties taken away, more of our money being taken away -- then we can exercise our right to have our say and vote. I am not worried about all these 'communists' in power over green jobs in the USA. Van Jones is gone right...our system worked.
You right I don't read the CNN news ticker and I won't start now.
I would love nothing more than for the Republican and Libertarian parties to get strong leaders. There is nothing better than a strong opposition. Get a voice -- get a strong voice, that's not talk radio.

Many conservatives objected to the Bush admin spending like drunk sailors, they just were not in the Republican party..

sorry, but you werent paying much attentin then the last 8 years. many conservatives in the republican party fell out with Bush, who we thought was becoming more liberal and spending like a drunken kennedy. in fact many conservatives sat out on election day angry at the spending many in our party did against the will of the people. there are many issues we had with Bush and that we openly spoke about, from talk radio to the wall street journal and in our party
