Any market for a "Nick Tahoe's" style hot sauce in Charleston?
Just moved here from Rochester, NY and I have found that no one has tried or heard of hot sauce, meat hot sauce. For those of you that have not heard or had the pleasure, it's a ground beef based hot sauce used as a topping for hots and hamburgs, chicken etc. It's a staple in Rochester NY, and I was thinking of jaring some and selling it someplace local for locals here to try, or for imports like me to enjoy.
Would there be enough interest?
And where could I vendor it?
Farmers market or something?
Trust me, it's absolutely delicious and I'd love to bring some more of Rochester to the south.
Now, if we could only get some Zwiegels here.

I think the hot sauce market is saturated everywhere in North America.

if youve never had it, its a meat hot sauce, nothing like "red hot" or any liquid based hot sauce

Then it's a meat sauce that's hot -- not a hot sauce <G>. If you mean--will people like things spicy in Charleston -- of course.

Even if the idea doesn't go over here, you can always just order it by the case like my dad does Tony Packos peppers and hot chili sauce from Toledo.

I think Rococo Bakery in West Ashley has Zweigle's.
