Short term lodging?
My family is relocating to Charleston next month. My husband will arrive 3 weeks ahead of us and needs short term lodging for 3 weeks. Any suggestions on inexpensive but clean and safe lodging? Thanks!

We've been looking at those, but for $50 a night it comes to over $1000 and we're trying to avoid that.
Just wondering if there were any other options. Probably not though.

We have looked into extended stay there and you will not find it cheaper than that.

There are places along highway 17 in West Ashley who advertise suites for $189 a week. That is the best I have seen. They are new, clean and well located for dining and access to downtown. These suites include kitchenettes
There are similar hotel/motels along the interstate 95 in Walterboro

Thanks for the info! We're in the same situation... trying to figure out when the family will be moving as we have just accepted the position and haven't put our house on the market yet (that's next week's project)... and can't afford two house payments! Places like Extended Stay America and similar...

You might do better with an apartment that does month to month rental. Since you haven't even put your house on the market it might take you several months and more to pass on it.
