I am glad that they may help you and others get a feel for the area. Do you think that it would be helpful for me to post some additional neighborhood videos of some Mt. Pleasant neighborhoods, with just a brief overview of the neighborhood and general price range of the homes found there? It is relatively easy for me to do so as I am frequently out taking such videos for different reasons when not with clients. I would think that they may be of some help and of interest to those considering relocating to the Charleston area. I wish we would get others to at least post photos of local neighborhood and area attractions and subdivisions so forum members and visitors can see all the neighborhood options available in ever price range.

Please no more videos with that cheesy and irritating song!
How about go sell some houses and lower the inventory of homes in this town!

The Realtors had nothing to do with the "Great Recession" and slew of short sales??? You can not just blame it on the builders when many of the builders were building specs for Stealtors!

Many of our best builders jumped on the bandwagon to construct homes with all the bells and whistles and they did so with confidence since these fancy homes were selling like hot cakes in 2005 and into the first quarter of 2006. The rest of the story we now painfully know all too well particularly if you're trying to sell your home or if you're a builder stuck with a property months and in many cases years past the time you expected to sell. This is the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. I call it the Great Recession and we're not yet out of woods.
The result we all know has been unprecendented foreclosures and short sale activity. Who had even heard of a "short sale" until the past 18 months? For me short sale meant Bermuda shorts for sale at Marshalls or Saks!
How will the welcomed influx of home buyers (we hope) associated with the new Boeing operation here impact our inventory overload? We're projecting that this will go a long way in dampening the insult of the recession in the Charleston area housing market. At least we can hope...
There are more than 600 properties tagged as short sale or bank owned in the greater Charleston area.
This would also be a good time for thexfactor to quote where USCJoe ever said that the market in Mt. Pleasant was wonderful. From the limited feedback that I have received on this forum it seems that the Xfactor is the only one who feels that the videos are misleading. It would be useful if the xfactor could post some helpful information for forum members rather than just criticizing the poster.
It would appear the "X Factor" joined this forum specifically to pick a bone with you, Joe. I suppose you should be flattered by all the attention. Videos are most informative. Thanks
Gordon can watch them with the sound off.
I have suggested that others post photos and videos of the areas and communities/subdivisions in which they live and work in order to make city-data an even better resource for those considering relocating to the area. GordonGekkoC has suggested or inferred that I should spend more time selling homes to lower the inventory of homes on the market rather than taking photos and videos. In fact, I am out most weeks with out of town clients considering relocating to the Charleston area and yet find the time to contribute to this forum with videos and photos to help everyone not just my clients. I don't have an answer as to why others will not take the time to do the same. I had intended on posting two more videos in a separate post, but will post one here on the Commonwealth subdivision in Mt. Pleasant with no music. Commonwealth is an older subdivision of homes on 1 -1/2 acre lots and at any given time priced in the $325,000 to $700,000 range. Most of the homes are between about 2000 sqft. and 4000 sqft. Many of the homes were built in the mid 1980's to the mid to late 1990's. The community is adjacent to Wando High School and the new Carolina Park community/development(residential and commercial) which reportedly has had difficulty in meeting it's financial obligations due to the down economy and poor housing market. Although Commonwealth is to some a little isolated, I feel it along with the adjacent Darrell Creek subdivision will "come into their own" when the economy improves and commercial construction starts to take place in Carolina Park.
