Default Appropriate Attire

I will be visiting the Charleston area in late November-December and would like to attend some plays, concerts, ballet, etc. while I am there. What is the general appropriate attire for these activities in the Charleston area?

I read about The Company Company and Charleton Harbor Resort & Marina present Gilbert and Sullivans 'Pirates of Penzance' in a dinner theatre format. What would be the appropriate attire for something like this?

Charleston Harbor Resort is always a casual place. It's in Mt. P so there's no downtown formal going on --ever. We're thinking about going to the show, too (well I am, if I can convince DH). He'll probably be in Dockers & a long-sleeeve button down. Women go in whatever makes us feel great at the moment. Temperature dictates dress more than anything 'round here. Be comfortable. I'm sure the players will be.
