Crowfield Plantation in Goose Creek area would be worth exploring. Lakeview Terrace, Deerfield, Hamlets subdivisions to name a few. Easy access to I-26 off of College Park road. Also, new community (Being compared to Daniel Island -- where Family Circle Cup takes place) called Carnes Crossing (?) located near 176 &17a. I live in Crowfield and frequent area near Ice Palace, about a 15 minute drive. About 30 minutes to AFB/Airport. Add more time for rush hour traffic, especially near Ashley Phosphate Road.
When we first moved here we rented apartment off of Greenridge road which is a 5 minute drive to Ice Palace (a few of Stingray hockey team members lived there) and about a 15 minute drive to airport.

Goose Creek is about 45 minutes to Isle of Palms beach in Mount Pleasant -- Sorry! But you might consider looking at Daniel I$land $$.

James Island is really laid back, close to downtown and the beach, affordable and safe.We have the best leash free dog park in the city. We love it.

James Island sounds like my kind of place. My wife will love the leash free dog park since she's crazy about dogs. Thank you!

West Ashley does sound like a good option as well.

Default Moving from Charlotte to Charleston

Our family has lived in Charlotte NC for 11 years. We have a daughter at Clemson so moving to Charleston would give us much needed instate tuition. We have 2 sons, one that will be a junior in HS and plays high school and travel baseball. We are looking at Wando for him. Our other son is going to be in 6th grade and also plays rec baseball. We would love to hear from anyone involved in these areas for advise. Or if anyone has had experience moving to Wando with a high schooler. Do they get alot of new students coming in?
Thanks!
