Calling cookie Whitehall is so far from the truth it's unbelievable , get yoursef down Park West and other sub divisions on 41 and come back and tell me Whitehall is cookie cutter .

Explain what is undesirable outside of Whitehall , are you on drugs??????????

The traffic is terrible , have you tried driving along 17 lately ???????????????

Ps
Jets fly directly over Mt Pleasant, down town Charleston and West Ashley to you know.

Mt Pleasant smells as well when the wind blows from the paper factory.
Come on now. Have a cup of coffee and steady those nerves. Mt Pleasant is a fine place to live. I've been there for 4 years. WAIT! Don't grab that mouse just yet. There's more. You see, I moved to Mt Pleasant from the North. North Charleston, that is. My Momma brought me home from St Francis to a little house in Cameron Terrace. It was a fine place to grow up. I've seen good neighborhoods go bad over the years and I've seen bad neighborhoods clean up. If enough good people move into a bad neighborhood, it can be turned around. There are bad areas all over the Tricounty region. Mt Pleasant, Goose Creek, Moncks Corner, Summerville, Lincolnville, North Chuck, James Island, John's Island, Downtown Charleston... etc, etc. They all have areas that can be considered "undesirable"... although I think sometimes people here have a tendency to confuse poor with dangerous.
This is my home and always has been. Some changes are encouraging, such as the area around North Charleston High School, and others are depressing, as I have seen around my old High School, Garrett. Nevertheless, it does no good to belittle one community in an attempt to raise the appeal of another. It is well to take pride in your community, but I encourage you to take pride in all the areas of the Charleston Community because we are all neighbors.

I have no problem with any community in Mt Pleasant , just the blinkered attitude with some of the folk there .
Also comments such as Wildwoodflowers which are so wrong are totally misleading for anyone considering the areas i am defending

In defense of Wildflower, I challenge your statement that being new to the area "says it all". This board is all about seeking other people's perspectives. She offers the perspective of a person with no emotional ties or bonds to the area...just calling it like she sees it from an outside point of view. What is nice or safe feeling really depends on where you're coming from and what you are used to.

People come here to hear a variety of opinions

Now I see that you're trying to smear Wildwood on other threads: You don't have to knock her opinion to get your across. not nice.

Well i think her opinion (which she is entilted to like you said) is totally irresponsible and way off the mark , so i called her out on it that's my opinion . I will also defend our neighborhoods here on the Dorchester Rd from her smears .
The cheap swipes at North Charleston on here are nothing short of snobbery from people who are more than likely mortgaged up to the eyeballs just to be 15 minutes closer to the ocean .

Sounds like you've got issues....is there such a thing as reverse snobbery?

wildwoodflower is on a distinguished road
i am not looking for a debate at all. just giving my impression on the area when i first saw it. i am sure in the community itself is fine, but i was commenting on how bad and dirty it seemed just outside the community. i was really surprised, i did not like the area at all. that is fine that you do, of course. what is wrong with stating my own opinion in it.

and yes, there are cookie cutter houses in MT P, but overall it is cleaner, has better city programs, and feels safer to me. but i don't even live in MT P. so ia m not sure why i am even trying to explain to you.

everyone should be entitled to there opinion, it doesn't mean we all have to agree. but be open to discussions. grow up.

I have issues??????????? because someone tries to smear Whitehall the sub division i live in ??????.
Driving along Dorchester Rd is absolutely no different to driving along 17,41, Sam Rittenburg , 61, North and South , driving through James Island through to Folly Beach .
So in my mind it was more of an attempt to smear the neighborhood for whatever reason she may have .
No one in their right mind would say what she said about this end of Dorchester Rd when comparing it else where in the Tri County area.'
Grow up ???????, you're having a laugh aren't you ??????
Rant over
