My family and I will be visiting Charleston at the end of the month. I've heard great things about The Market and Fort Sumter. Does anyone have any tips for visiting the area? I've heard you need to get to the market early for parking. Any adivce would be great. Thank you!

There are many parking garages within a couple blocks of the market area. One suggestion, if you are interested in history is to take a walking self-guided tour of the downtown area. There are also the plantations, gardens, and beautiful, historic churches with interesting cemetaries.

Those are good suggestions as is Fort Sumter, the USS Yorktown and the beaches. Bring plenty of lightweight clothes and a hat - Charleston is hot and humid in late June.
