Like any town there are good and bad areas. Sangaree is a good option. It is reasonably priced. I live and work in the sangaree area and have not experieced any crime.

I am planning to move to SC also in the next couple of months. I am an emptynester, no kids, just me. I will be looking for work in the mental health field and want to locate where travel time to maybe Charleston would not be more than an 30 minutes. I am starting out cheap to get established then will buy later. Any suggestions for areas or company's that provide social work for menatlly ill. How hard might it be to get a job, years of experience and education. Moving from Honolulu Hawaii, not a place to call home, great place to vacation. Have researched SC and really have a good feeling it will be a great place to call home. Origianally from central Missouri. Appreciate post.
