Hi everybody, we are probably moving to Charleston area in the next couple of months and I have been looking on-line at homes for sale in Mount Pleasant, summerville and goosecreek. We really want a house with an in-ground swimming pool. I am having a hard time finding a lot of homes with a pool. Is there a reason for this? does anyone have any suggestions?
thanks for any help!

Most probable reason is that all the areas you are looking in are 30 minutes or less from the beach and some of the neighborhoods have comunity pools.

Yep, or they are in neighborhoods with community pools. Homes with pools exist here, they are simply in the minority.

I have two home listed with pools. One is under contract. The weather is not warm enough year round for a pool. I moved from Florida where they are more common. Having a pool adds very little value to a home and a lot of up keep. Needless to say I LOVED having my own pool in Florida. Most homes in the Mount Pleasant area that have pools are 400K or above.
