Default Teaching positions in the Charleston/ Summerville area

Hello everyone. Can anyone tell us about the teaching opportunities around the Summerville/Charleston area? My wife has her teaching degree in elementary education and I am completing my master's in secondary degree with a concentration in Social studies. We both attended the same private college which specializes in education and is NCATE certified. We have chosen to relocate to the Summerville area and are both looking at securing teaching positions in the local area. The home prices around Summerville are terrific and have grabbed our attention. We have also heard that the shopping in the area is plentiful. Thanks greatly for your help

The shopping could be a little better in Summerville, but that will catch up in time. We need a mall!!! There are plenty of areas to shop throughout the surrounding Charleston area though.

As far as teaching goes, the schools in Summerville are award winning and some of the best in the Charleston area. New schools are being built and more are planned for the future. Job opportunities shouldn't be a problem.

If you need links for their web sites pm me. I have the County links. Or google them. It's Dorchester, Berkeley and Charleston County schools.
