My oldest graduates from Wando HS tonight and we need to have her at the Coliseum at 6:15. We can't go to eat until 4:30. What is close and good over by Tanger? or that area. I know Chilis, Denny's, Jim and Nicks, Buffalo Wild Wings. What else is good and close that I am forgetting?

Don't like Fatz too much. We were thinking Jim and Nicks, also. Daughter wants steak. Does anyone know if the new Japanese place is open yet?

I LOVE Jim and Nicks! We drive there from Johns Island a couple of times a month.

It's a shame all the options are national/regional chains. Very sad.

Jim and Nicks was great. They were very busy with the graduation crowd but they were able to seat us and service/food was perfect.

Jim and Nicks is a smaller chain based out of Birmingham AL. They have 27 locations in 7 states. Nick Pahakis is the owner and Jim was his late father. There are local partners involved in most of their locations. Jim and Nicks still actively competes in BBQ competitions around the country and have no plans on making it a large franchise operation.

Many chain stores are "locally" owned.....a goodly number of those are owned by people who do not actually grace the doors.

I don't mind J&N in a pinch...although it's a bit expensive for bbq.
