Welcome to West Virginia UODucks! I take it you are an Oregon Ducks grad?
I don't know of any furnished apts off the top of my head, but there are plenty of rental places in areas close to WV Power Park. Should be another good baseball season, looking forward to going to some games this spring.
Like Sild said, Welcome to the Mountain State! I'm sure you will not only love it, but will enjoy living in its beautiful capital city. The Power is a great part of our city, and the community is very proud of them.
These apartments I hear good thinks about, and its in a pretty good location. They have furnished apartments, recreation area, pool, tennis courts, fitness center, community building, ect... I believe they have a single bedroom open, and a two bedroom open at this time.
I know this is going to sound negative but watch yourself with the higher ups with the WV Power. If you play their game and become one of "their boys" you will be fine. If not, they will look for a way to get rid of you.
On a positive note, the games are great, the fans will be great as well.
Roxalana is WAY far from being close to Power Park.
Have you considered asking the Power about their player sponsorship program where a local resident "sponsors" a player to assist them with these type of things? Maybe they could get you a sponsor as well.
Internships are very valuable for resumes and often lead to full-time opportunities. We love Power Park and going to the games there. I hope you enjoy your experience(s). Since you are in an internship and would be watching your "ps and qs" anyway, I don't see a problem with the higher ups.
Yeah . I have no intention of doing anything besides showing up to work , doing what ever is asked of me with a smile and being nothing ,but polite that is how I was raised. I've also had another internship in Baseball and got along with the GM. As for the question about being a UO grad , I'm a Senior at UO with a few more terms of school left. I'm excited to move out of Eugene which is fine , but first time I've lived in a state outside of Oregon. Does any have any suggestions on a four bedroom apartment ? Three of the other intern were talking rooming together if possible, but looks we will have to settle for a 2 BR apartment in the same complex. I know not to anger off the higher ups and won't , but good to know . Also three of us four intern will have a car. I won't have a car since I'm flying from out of state , but we all will carpool so not a problem.
I've read great things about the ballpark and the fans so can't wait to see it and experience it for myself. Having come from a first year summer league team last summer in my hometown it was interesting trying to get word out about the team and make sure people were aware of the team. We were 3rd in league attendance for a first year team and average over 1,000 fans a game for a college summer wood bat league. Also we had a game where we had over 4100 fans in a town with a postulation of 20,000 in the city limits .
I appreciate the information and kinds words from all of you and looking forward to moving out of state and experiencing things in Charleston.
I was thinking "walking distance close" to the park. Even without that concept, it is hard for me to visualize being in Dunbar in 10 minutes from the park. It must be the way I drive.

The way I drive I can get to WV State from downtown in 5
