This one will be across from Moses in the old pawn shop building. They are remodeling the outside, and it will be a great addition to the fast growing East End community.
Good article in the friday DM about this new sushi and hibachi place. The owners will be the same owners of Main Kwong! I have a feeling this place is going to be a good one. Probably on the same level as Taste of Asia at Teays Valley.
I tell you what, I wouldn't be suprized to hear about a new grocery store coming to the East End in the coming months. I know the Alliance has been working hard for a while now, but I think we could see one coming soon. I'd say it would be a Kroger's, but I'd support something new like Safeway, Foodlion, Publix, ect...
Chris, I was driving through East Washington yesterday, and that area of town is just a few corner stores from being pretty much full. Soon its going to have a really funky vibe with lots of character. I love when a run down area becomes gentrified.

I was through there Yesterday (Go Huskies, in title game!) and will be there again today. I think we could have a walkable, safe, and electric community along Washington ST from downtown all the way to the Capitol Complex. It would include the Clay Center, Power Park, and the capitol Market, and would be an amazing district for our city. We have come so far, and now its time to go big or go home. Charleston isn't the same as it was 10 years ago, and with great places like the East End, Bridge Road Shops, and the Village District we can expect to see more improvements and businesses.
