My husband and I will be moving from Princeton, WV to Charleston in January (hopefully) and will be attending UC. We have a 16 month old daughter and, as UC does not have on-campus daycare, we wanted to start our search early in case they have a waiting list. More than likely we will have to use assistance (like Mountain Heart) to help us pay, so they would have to accept that. We'd really like a small-ish daycare that incorporates at least a little early education into their day, and is fairly close to UC. I hate to be so specific, but she's our baby Any suggestions at all would be very much appreciated!

-Katie

This would be the only place I'd know near UC.

Unfortunately, my daughter doesn't fit in their age requirements (too young). Thanks though!

Are you going to be living in the Kanawha City area, or some other part of town?

That's part of my problem. I'm not sure which part of Charleston we're going to be moving to. I won't be moving until January and none of the apartment buildings/other places for rent want to talk to me yet (which, I can respect). I'm hoping that we can just live on campus in the apartments they have there, but that is unlikely since we have a kid. Best case scenario outside of that is we live within a 5 minute radius of UC.

That website is actually for a place in Nebraska. I did find the Montessori child care that's in Charleston, but again, my daughter is too young. The search continues!

Thank you for your effort, though, Chriscross

No worries!

She's 16 months old. When we move she'll be around 20-21 months old.
